Why parents choose NIL

Small batches.
More attention.

With no more than eight children in a class, every child gets more opportunities to speak, practise and be heard.

The difference

Your child gets more time with the trainer.

Typical online batch

More children competing for the trainer's attention.

25–30

NIL kids batch

More chances to speak, practise and get feedback.

6–8

Never more than eight children. That's the space we protect in every kids batch.

Batch size

6–8children

Small enough for every child to get noticed, heard and supported.

Certified trainers

Every trainer is assessed and certified before teaching.

Fits around school

Flexible weekday slots before or after school.

Parents can watch

Why NIL

What makes our classes different

Certified trainers, an international framework, and progress you can actually see — six things you can check before you book.

  • International certificates

Your child prepares for DELF, Goethe and DELE — exams that go on a school application and mean something to the school reading it.

    DELF · Goethe · DELE
The curriculum

Four levels, and your child starts where they actually are

Nobody is put in a level by age. The placement call before the demo decides it — so a quiet older child is not stranded in a class that has moved on without them.

Level 01

Starter

Getting the first sentences out loud

  • Sounds and clear speech
  • Everyday conversation
  • Core vocabulary in context
  • Story and rhyme

By the end of this level, your child can

  • Answers a question in a full sentence, unprompted
  • Introduces themselves to someone new
  • Asks for what they need in English

Inside a class

Forty-five minutes with a shape to them

Not a lecture your child watches. Every block below is drawn to its real length, so you can see where the time actually goes.

  1. Warm-up

    5m

A question every child answers out loud, before anyone has time to feel shy.

  2. New language

    8m

The day's words and structures, taught in context rather than as a list to memorise.

  3. Speaking practice

    15m

The heart of the class. Pair work, turns and corrections — every child speaks, repeatedly.

  4. Game or role-play

    12m

The same language again, now as play. Children stop translating and start using it.

  5. Wrap-up & note home

    5m

What went well, what to practise, sent to you — so you know without asking.

After every class

You find out how it went without having to ask

Ask a child how class was and you get “fine”. So the trainer writes the answer instead — what your child managed today, and the one thing worth practising before the next class.

Example note
“Spoke for a full minute on her own today without switching to Hindi — a first. Practise past tense verbs: went, not goed.”

Illustrative — not a real student.

Small batches of 6–8

Small batches of 6–8

  1. Live, not recorded

Every class runs with a real trainer in real time — never a pre-recorded video.

  2. Batches of 6–8

Small enough that every child is called on, every class.

  3. Speaking comes first

Pair work, turns and corrections — children talk far more than they listen.

  4. A note home, every time

What went well, and one thing to practise before the next class — sent to you.

In their parents’ words

Parents who already made the call

Three families who booked a demo before they were sure, and stayed.

It's important to make our kids prepare for the upcoming challenges from an early age and I am elated to see huge improvements in my daughter Avani. I am extremely happy with NIL.
Rajni MishraHomemaker
I enrolled my kid into the foreign language programme of NIL for French and I must say that it was an enriching experience for my child. I highly recommend NIL.
Kriti SinghCA
I came to know about NIL kids programme through a quick search on google and talked to a representative. It took me only 10 minutes to enrol my daughter. It was a great experience throughout.

Questions parents ask us first

If yours is not here, ask it on the demo call — it costs nothing and you will get a straight answer.

  • Is my child the right age for this?

Tell us your child's age and where they are with the language on the free demo call, and we will say honestly whether they are ready — including if the answer is not yet. It costs nothing to ask.

  • Are the classes live, or recorded videos?

Live, every time. Your child is in a class with a trainer who can hear them, correct them and answer them — Monday to Friday, around school hours.

  • Who will be teaching my child?

A certified trainer. Every trainer holds Cambridge or British Council certification at CEFR C1 or above, and your child stays with the same trainer rather than a rotating pool.

  • How many children are in a class?

Group batches are capped at six to eight, which is small enough that every child speaks in every class. One-to-one classes are exactly that — one trainer, one child.

  • What happens in the free demo class?

Your child meets a trainer and takes a real class while you sit in and watch. Nothing is due to book one and no card details are taken. The trainer is matched to your child's level and your timings afterwards.

  • How will I know my child is actually improving?

You get a written assessment every week, and progress is tracked against the CEFR levels — so you know your child is at A2, not just that they are improving somehow.

  • Which languages can my child learn?

English, French, German and Spanish, all taught live and one to one, all following the same CEFR levels.

  • What do we need at home to join a class?

A laptop, tablet or phone with a working camera and microphone, and an internet connection steady enough for a video call. Nothing else to install or buy.

  • What if we have to miss a class?

Tell your coordinator as early as you can and they will confirm what can be rescheduled. We would rather give you the real answer for your batch than a general rule that turns out not to apply.

Still deciding?

Talk to a course counsellor before you book anything. No payment, no card details — just a straight answer about your child.

Getting started

Three steps, and none of them cost anything

You are not committing to a course by asking. You are booking one class, watching it, and deciding afterwards.

A trainer and a child during a live online English class

The first live class is free

Live with a trainer — not a recording, not a sales call.

  1. Book the free demo

Pick a slot that suits you. No payment, no card details, nothing to cancel later.

  2. We call to place your child

A short conversation about where your child is now, so the demo lands at the right level rather than a generic sample lesson.

  3. Join a live class

The demo is a real live class with a trainer — not a recording and not a sales call. Watch how your child responds, then decide. Enrol afterwards, or don't.

Takes about a minute. We’ll call to confirm the slot.
